
Certified Associate Project Management (CAPM)
Administered by the Project Management Institute PMI
If you’re looking for certifications to help you build up your career, the CAPM (also offered by PMI) is suited for entry-level project managers. The CAPM doesn’t require project experience, making it a good certification for project managers who are just getting started.

Meet the CAPM Certification Requirements
Before you can take the CAPM exam, you’ll have to make sure you’re eligible. You’ll need:

Secondary degree (high school diploma, associate’s degree or the global equivalent) and

23 hours of project management education completed by the time you sit for the exam.

The PMI’s Project Management Basics online course ($350 PMI Member) fulfills this educational prerequisite. Also, the University of Louisville offers – PMP / CAPM Exam Facilitated Course Instructor Led Training ($2,195) Enroll here

Apply for Your Certification
When submitting an application, you do not need to send documentation. However, you will be required to send supporting documentation if your application is selected for a random audit. To find out more about PMI's audit process, refer to the certification handbooks and the audit FAQs.

The certification exam has 150 questions, and you have three hours to complete it.

Maintain Your Certification
CAPM certification holders need to earn 15 PDUs every three years to maintain the certification. Find out the specific PDU requirements.
