KCTCS Accelerated Pathway Cuts Welding Program by 30%!

Are you an Army Allied Trade Specialist 91E? Have you served as a welder in the U.S. military? The Associate’s in Applied Science degree at Bluegrass Community & Technical College (BCTC) ranges between 60 – 66 credit hours of coursework. However, if you were previously a 91E in the U.S. Army or have welding experience from the military, you may qualify for an accelerated version of this program to finish at a fraction of the normal time--- and most importantly a fraction of the cost!  BCTC will assist interested veterans apply for this expedited pathway and assess welding training and experience to count for up to 19 credit hours towards their degree. Why go elsewhere if a third of your degree program is already paid for? Simply apply for admissions, visit the school’s veteran resource team and welding program director, show them copies of your DD214 and Joint Services Transcript (JST), and you could be on your way to earning a college degree in no time!
